'80s nostalgia is 'just the ticket' for Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2014

Lancaster Insurance is proud to be the headline sponsor of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show for the second year running, and this year celebrates 30 years of providing cover for classic cars. This year's show, held from 14th-16th November at Birmingham's NEC, has chosen 'The Big Screen' as its theme for 2014.

Richard Morley, Operations Director for Lancaster Insurance, said: "The company was born in 1984, when great films like Beverly Hills Cop, Indiana Jones and Splash were topping the billboards. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, it only seemed right that our stand should be inspired by the '80s. We'll be fighting ghosts with the classic 'Ecto-1' from Ghostbusters, chasing down criminals with 'K.I.T.T' from Knight Rider and taking visitors Back to the Future with the amazing DeLorean!

"'The Big Screen' evokes images of escapism, splendour and glamour and our stand will provide visitors with the perfect opportunity to embrace their 'star quality', with a Hollywood premiere style red carpet, complete with 'paps'." 

Event Director Dan Nwaokolo commented: "We're really excited by the theme for this year's show. There are so many great instances where incredible classics have appeared on the big screen, be it TV, film or in adverts. The possibilities are endless and we can't wait to see how the classic car clubs interpret it this year."
