Ross Barrington takes the helm of Markerstudy Retail

Ross Barrington has been appointed Managing Director of the Markerstudy Retail Group. The move follows Ross’s promotion to Divisional Head of Retail in April 2016 and is a reflection of the continuous and successful growth enjoyed by the Top 50 broker*.

Ross was Director of Telematics at Capita when Markerstudy acquired the businesses of BDML Connect, Lancaster Insurance and Sureterm Direct in 2013.  His career has gone from strength to strength and following the restructure in 2016, Ross was appointed Divisional Head of Retail, responsible for Insurance Factory, Insurance Shop, Masterquote and Aquote. 

This new role encompasses the whole of Retail, including award-winning brands Supercover, Gadget Cover and Lancaster, as well as Drivology and high net worth commercial broker, Distinct Business Insurance. 

In his first move, Ross will appoint Richard Morley as Operations Director for Retail (previously Divisional Head for Lancaster Insurance, Sureterm Direct and REIS). Richard has focused on the Lancaster Insurance and Sureterm Direct brands for the past eight years, developing the footprint with customer-facing initiatives which have included securing a Guinness World Record and headline sponsorship of the largest classic car show in the UK for Lancaster Insurance.
