27 colleagues from Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited (MISL) gave back to their local community by volunteering their time at Howletts Wild Animal Park across two days in September.

On 2nd and 16th September, the two teams, who are based in and around Canterbury, threw themselves into a variety of jobs including helping to update the flooring at the children's playground and cleaning animal statues that sit within the Ice Age area of the park. Markerstudy is committed to having a positive impact on local communities and as part of this commitment, all colleagues are offered a paid volunteering day each year helping people make a difference to the charities and good causes that mean the most to them.

Vicky Whitehead, Head of Broker Services at MISL and local to Canterbury, comments: “We volunteered last year at Port Lympne, Howletts’ sister park, and had such a good day there that we jumped at the chance to help the team at Howletts. Everyone is so lovely and truly committed to the conservation of the special and beautiful animals at the park, to help ensure a thriving future for wildlife. The team and I loved being involved and supporting their efforts and want to say a huge thank you to all involved.”
