Markerstudy strengthens sustainability commitment with launch of Green Legacy Project

Planting Trees

Markerstudy is continuing its’ environment, social and governance (ESG) ambitions with the launch of The Green Legacy Project – a long-term commitment to climate resilience through Nature Protection.

Over the next decade Markerstudy will restore 1,000,000m2 of degraded or at-risk area across the United Kingdom, supporting both carbon sequestration and biodiversity recovery, and activity is underway with 7,000 trees planted so far.

Lizzie Smith-Foreman, Chief Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer, comments: “Sustainability remains at the heart of our strategic agenda and our ambitious goals include achieving Net Zero by 2045 and continuing to support our communities and society at large.

“Building climate resilience is a key priority for us, as our industry both relies on and is influenced by the natural environment. We have a responsibility to drive meaningful change and by championing nature protection and embedding it into our sustainability programme, we aim to create a beneficial and lasting impact for generations to come.”
